Gary Neville has been sacked as Valencia manager

With all due respect to Neville, it's hardly a huge surprise.

Gary Neville has been sacked as manager of Valencia today after just four months in charge of the La Liga club. Valencia released a statement revealing that they had parted company with the former Manchester United defender, whose appointment shortly before Christmas came as a huge surprise. Neville endured a rotten run of results as manager of the club, winning just three of 16 matches in La Liga and he will replaced by former Liverpool assistant manager Pako Ayestaran – recently appointed by Neville – who will act as head coach until the end of the season. https://twitter.com/valenciacf/status/715205620086009861 “Valencia Football Club have today parted company with Gary Neville as Head Coach,” the statement read. “After careful consideration, the Club have decided to make a change with the best interests of the Valencia CF moving forward this season.
