GIF: A pretty major part of the Winter Olympics opening ceremony didn’t quite go to plan
You had one job, guy in charge of the Olympic rings.
The Winter Olympics in Sochi have been on barely a wet week at this stage and already there has been plenty of cause for complaint. To say that journalists weren’t happy with some of the accommodation and facilities would be an understatement while a justifiable outcry over the attitude towards the LGBT community in Russia has also been a major issue in the last number of weeks.
So far, so eh, not so good for the so-called #flawlessolympics and it only got worse when one of the Olympic rings failed to light during the opening ceremony a little earlier, leaving four rings and a snowflake instead.
Not that it seemed to bother the organisers too much, mind...
