GIF and pic: Ski cross race ends with one hell of a three-way photo finish

Crazy sport, crazy finish...

Today's ski cross action at Sochi was pretty damn exciting. With four adrenaline junkies battling their way down a mountain while tackling many, many humps and jumps it is a great sport to watch anyway but one of the quarter-finals today delivered an absolute doozy of a finish.

A big crash on the final jump left Armin Niederer to glide home in first, while the other three scrambled for the second qualifying spot.

 

Russia's Egor Korotkov, in the yellow bib, won the day while Sweden's Victor Oehling Norberg (red) and Finland's Jouni Pellinen (blue), narrowly missed out.
