We know what we will be watching on Monday…

Stephanie Roche. You may have heard her name mentioned on JOE quite a fair bit in the last few weeks because her wonder strike for Peamount United against Wexford Youths is in the final three for the FIFA Puskás Award. A big deal indeed.

While we sort of want FIFA would to rename the award as the “Holy s#*tbuckets, look at that incredible goal” award, Stephanie and Ireland will learn if she’s a winner on Monday night.

RTE have announced that they’ll be broadcasting the ceremony live via the RTÉ Player and on www.rte.ie/sport from 5.30pm on Monday.

Stephanie is up against some lads that we’ve never heard of before, Colombia’s James Rodriguez and some striker named MVP, QVP or RVP who plays for Manchester United.

RTÉ2 will also broadcast highlights of the presentation from 11.15pm on the same night and they also managed to get an exclusive interview with the lady of the hour .

Here’s hoping that she will have that statue/award/crown in her hands when Jacqui Hurley chats to her.

Any excuse to watch this again really…
