Now things begin to get serious. So far only a handful of games have been involved in the Ladbrokes World Cup Naps Media Betting competition but for the quarter-finals the assembled journos had to make a pick for each game.
The same rules apply, with an exact score, goalscorer, total goals or result being the bets on offer. Before we show you which picks each entrant has made, now iss probably a good time to remind you that in the previous game of the competition, Italy v Uruguay, nobody made a correct bet. Not one.
So, with that health warning, here are the selections for each of the quarter finals.
As you can see, it looks like every possible bet is covered here so we should get some winners over the line in the next two days. Question is, can the current leader, Off The Ball’s Colm Parkinson, be caught? His bets for the quarter-finals look pretty solid to us.
