
How the ball Rory McIlroy won the British Open with ended up for auction
The ball was sunk and immediately thrown into the crowd by the Irish man, but it's been found and now it's up for auction.
Millions saw McIlroy thrown the ball into the crowd, but a company who specializes in golf memorabilia auctions immediately took to Twitter to ask who got the ball. The power of social media found that the owner of said ball was a Leeds man called Lee Horner. The auction company ended up buying the ball from Mr Horner and have now placed it on their site available for bids.
The current bid stands at $3,137.00 with another 12 days of bidding left.
