Irish Open lands more stars

Four more Ryder Cup stars have been confirmed for the 2026 Amgen Irish Open, according to The42.

Patrick Reed, Robert MacIntyre, Francesco Molinari and Sepp Straka will all tee it up at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg from 10-13 September.

The quartet join a stacked line-up on the Clare coast. Defending champion Rory McIlroy has already been confirmed alongside Shane Lowry, Pádraig Harrington and Jon Rahm, with former World Number One Luke Donald, Tyrrell Hatton and brothers Rasmus and Nicolai Højgaard also in the field. Reed, a three-time Ryder Cup player, returns after making his tournament debut at The K Club last year.

"I’m really looking forward to returning to the Amgen Irish Open and playing at Doonbeg for the first time. Ireland has such a rich golfing history and the fans always create an incredible atmosphere."

MacIntyre, a Ryder Cup winner in Rome and New York, echoed the sentiment, praising Irish crowds as “among the best we experience anywhere in the world”.

Molinari, meanwhile, was recently appointed a Vice Captain for Europe’s Ryder Cup team. Expect a big turnout on the Clare coast for more Irish sporting action next month.
