Pictures were flying around Mother Internet of a lone Irish jersey among the Dutch throng in Salvador on Saturday night.
We’ve just had a mail from Cindy Luisman, who recognised the individual pictured and explained that he’s a Dutchman with a heart made out of green, white and gold (pass the bucket – Anti-sentimentality Ed.)
“It’s a Dutchmen who is crazy about Ireland,” she explains.
“He owns a bar with his brother in a little town called Sibculo in the Netherlands. He wanted to be recognized by his customers! So that’s why he wears a green shirt!”
Wonder if we can get a free pint… Hmmm…
