Following on from his win at the O2 last Saturday, Conor McGregor has moved up two spots in the UFC Featherweight division placing him inside the Top 10 for the first time.
It took The Notorious almost a year to recover from a torn ACL injury, but he was back fighting better than ever at UCF Fight Night Dublin against the Brazilian, Diego Brandao.
McGregor impressed so much that the voting media members in the official UFC rankings voted the Dublin fighter up two spots from 12th to 10th, placing McGregor inside the Top 10 for the first time in his career.
Speaking about Saturday night’s fight in Dublin, McGregor said: "It was a dream come true. To walk out there - the noise of that crowd, it actually got so loud that it wasn't sound anymore - it was like a buzzing. Like it went past sound. It was phenomenal."
"I personally have a vision of myself as the world champion by the end of the year," McGregor said.
"I've heard Dana say that I won't be the world champion by the end of the year, but who knows… Injuries happen in this game and all I know is that I stay ready.
“I'm looking to get as quick a turnaround as I can, and one by one I will eliminate everyone in the division. When I am finished there will be nobody left.”
McGregor’s sparing partner, and a huge favourite with the Irish UFC fans, Gunnar 'Gunni' Nelson, also moved up the rankings in the Welterweight division by moving up one spot to 12th following his win over Zak Cummings at UFC Fight Night Dublin.
Here’s a look at how the Featherweight division now stands following McGregor's new move…
