Joe Rogan reveals there may be another massive Conor McGregor fight on the horizon

This would be incredible…

If you’ve ever listened to Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, you’ll have heard the UFC commentator wax lyrical about Conor McGregor and the “touch of death” that he possesses in his power left hand.

Inevitably, any time discussion turns to the UFC or fighting in general, Conor’s name is never far from the table and on his most recent podcast he spoke about him with former MMA fighter Yves Edwards and GLORY kickboxer Joe Schilling.

With Conor scheduled to fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt at UFC 205, very few people are looking past November 12.

But, it seems as if Joe Rogan knows something the rest of us don’t, naturally considering his connections in the MMA world, and he has heard a crazy rumour that Conor McGregor is close to lining up a fight with Nick Diaz.

Yes, Nate’s brother…

Speaking on the podcast, Rogan said: “Man, I’d heard some crazy rumour that I had hoped was true, that they were gonna try and set up Nick [Diaz] vs Conor. I’m like, ‘my god, that would break the world.’

“Do you know like, how insane the hype would be, for a Nick Diaz vs Conor McGregor fight? I mean, can you even imagine how crazy that would be?”

McGregor has already fought Nate Diaz on two occasions, earning himself redemption in their rematch at UFC 202. But a contest against the older, and admittedly much bigger Nick Diaz would definitely be something out of left-field.

However, once again even if this fight was to take place, the issue of weight would once again be in the equation as Nick is a much larger man with his last fight coming against Anderson Silva at 185.

While we have our doubts about the veracity of these claims from Rogan, he’s far closer to the action than us, but at the moment, we’re sure The Notorious is wholly focused on Eddie Alvarez and the challenges facing him at UFC 205.

Then afterwards, maybe he’ll face Nick, or maybe a fight with this man?
