JOE v Ladbrokes v the JOE readers in the Ladbrokes Treble challenge

Let the games begin…

JOE

Let the games begin…

Fond of a bit of a punt on the footie at the weekend? If so, then we’re going to make the Premier League a lot more interesting this season by pitting our wits against the JOE readers and Ladbrokes’ Hayley O’Connor to see who really knows their stuff.

Every week, we’ll be putting a shout out on Twitter for JOE readers to send us in their Premier League treble selections via the #LadbrokesTreble hashtag and every week, one lucky winner will be able to put someone else’s money where their mouth is with a free €50 Ladbrokes bet on their selection.

The *cough* ultra-knowledgeable heads in the JOE office *cough* will also pick a treble every week, as will Ladbrokes’ Hayley O’Connor and to provide proof of both success and humiliation, there’ll be a leaderboard in place to keep track of everyone’s progress on a weekly basis.

Be warned, we can pretty competitive.

Here are this week’s selections:

JOE’s treble:

Liverpool v Everton draw, 14/5

Two teams that can’t defend and attack freely. This will surely be one of the most exciting games of the weekend and JOE reckons both sides will cancel each other out.

Leicester to beat Crystal Palace, 19/10

One team went 120 minutes with Newcastle during the week. The other had midweek off to recuperate from a fantastic win against Man United. We know who we’re backing.

Chelsea to draw with Aston Villa, 11/2

This may be among the riskier bets we have tried, but Villa have been pretty solid at the back this season and may be able to squeeze a draw out of José’s men.

That treble comes in at a little over a whopping 70/1

Hayley’s treble:

Manchester United to beat West Ham, 4/11

Yes, this is a brave move but c’mon, LVG’s lott can’t stay brutal for ever, right? Right?

Chelsea to beat Aston Villa, 2/9

That bug may still be knocking around plus Chelsea are looking very good indeed.

West Brom to beat Burney, Evs

With a first win under their belt, I reckon the Baggies can get one over Burnley on Sunday.

That treble comes in at approximately 5/2

JOE readers’ treble:

This week, Conor Dewey steps up to the mark for the JOE readers. At just over 3/1, for three home wins by big teams, we think it is a solid bet, and it could net Conor a tasty windfall to his Ladbrokes account.
