Kerry parish treats its Liverpool-loving priest to a wonderful version of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’

Man City may have spoiled the birthday party but this is great.

There isn’t a single Liverpool fan alive that didn’t wish for divine intervention as the Premier League title race came down to the very last day and for a brief period, it looked like God-himself was wearing a Liverpool jersey.

After Sadio Mané opened the scoring at Anfield against Wolves, Liverpool’s hopes were boosted when Glenn Murray’s header gave Brighton the lead against City.

All of a sudden, that 29 year wait seemed like it might come to an end. You know, until City found their level and beat the living hell out of Brighton thanks to goals from Aguero, Laporte, Mahrez, and Gundogan.

There would be no miracle at Anfield, however, Saint Peter & Paul Church in Ballyduff, Kerry made it a very special 60th birthday to their parish priest, Father Brendan.

We’re not saying that Father Brendan was asking for any special favours from the big man upstairs, but he didn’t need some divine help to enjoy his birthday because the local parishioners treated him to an ethereal version of Liverpool’s beloved anthem, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’

On top of this, he also got a special cake to celebrate his birthday.

Take a look at this lovely example of the community spirit that exists in the parish.
