There are some tasty clashes coming up over the next few weeks, but the pick of the lot is surely Kildare v Tyrone.

Another Monday morning brings us another Qualifier draw and it’s was a big one as it sets up the next round, and the fourth round, when the provincial losers come in.

The big one is the meeting of Kildare against Tyrone. Mickey Harte’s side were the one team everyone wanted to avoid and at least Kieran McGeeney’s men have them at home. Tyrone beat them in the League semi but it should be a cracker next Saturday night. The prize for the winner is a game with Meath.

Galway earned another home draw, but this time the calibre of opponent is much higher as they face high-scoring Armagh. The winner of that faces Cork.

An all Ulster clash between Derry and Cavan was the last one out of the hat and the winners of that face the loser of the Connacht final and with that likely to be London, Derry and Cavan will really fancy their chances of making real progress.

And the final game is the all Leinster clash of Wexford v Laois, with the winner playing the losers of the Ulster final, Donegal or Monaghan.

The third round of Qualifiers will take place next weekend, times and venues to be decided.
