Leicester fan condemns fellow fans for homophobic abuse at Brighton
Leicester Fan Chris Whitling has shared a post on Twitter accusing his fellow fans of homophobic abuse during Saturday's game against Brighton.
Whitling, who has been a season ticket holder at the club for 15 years, wrote that it was "the first time in [my] life I am ashamed to belong to this football club."
The post thanks the stewards at the stadium for dealing with the abuse professionally, but also details some of the language used.
"One 'fan' 'did not understand' how berating officials as a 'fucking queer' could be offensive," he wrote. "Another fan, when told by a steward to stop telling the Brighton fans to go "suck on a fat cock, faggots" asked if I was a 'fucking gay.'" Whiteling reports that this second fan was ejected.
