Tommy Bowe will be hoping to take his place in the Lions team to face the Wallabies on Saturday after getting the all-clear from his hand injury.
The Ulster winger broke a bone in his right-hand against the Queensland Reds three weeks ago and it is a sign of the esteem he is held in by management that they kept him in reserve should he recover in time to feature again in the tour, which is exactly what has transpired.
Alex Cuthbert looks to be the man most likely to lose out should T-Bowe be drafted into the starting XV, but either way it is great to see the Irishman back to full fitness and rearing to go.
Ryle Nugent won’t be behind the mic for the game in Melbourne of course, but what we wouldn’t give to hear Tommy Booooowwwwwweeeee being shouted out by the commentary team.
