LISTEN: The esctatic commentary for Dundalk’s goal from LMFM is just magic

Paul Moore

A wonderful moment for anyone that loves Irish football.

Dundalk have written their name into the history books as Stephen Kenny’s side became the first League of Ireland team team to pick up a point in the European group stages.

Substitute Ciaran Kilduff was the hero as his bullet header rescued a 1-1 draw for the Lillywhites in their Europa League opener against AZ Alkmaar.

The hosts took the lead thanks to Stijn Whitens’ goal on the hour mark and it looked like there was no way back for the League of Ireland champions after captain Stephen O’Donnell was sent-off with just 19 minutes left to play.

Nobody told Kilduff though as his dramatic goal sent the travelling fans into rapturous.

As they always do with Dundalk matches, Adrian Taafe and David Crawley covered the game for LMFM and their commentary of that famous moment is absolute gold. Have a listen.
