Frying pan into the fire.
Tim Sherwood has been sacked as the manager of Aston Villa following a dreadful run of results that sees them without a win since the opening day of the season.
The former Spurs boss lost his two best players in the summer, Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph, but he did spend 40 million pounds on replacements so he can’t have too many complaints.
Moments after the news of Sherwood’s sacking was confirmed, a former Villa favourite instantly threw his name into the hat.
Dwight Yorke tells beIN Sports 'I want the Villa job. I've worked for some top guys & that club means a lot to me. I'd like to give it a go'
