Manchester United is a "giant club and must be for the best managers".
While the news of Jose Mourinho's appointment as Manchester United manager was only officially confirmed this morning, it's very likely that The Special One has been preparing for this day for quite some time. After weeks of speculation, United finally got their man and he has been talking with MUTV.
In a fairly candid interview, Mourinho states that he's at the "right moment in his career" to take the job and that "he's happy, proud and honoured" to be given the chance to manage at Old Trafford.
United finished the season outside of the top-four, they were 15 points behind the champions Leicester City, but their new manager is focusing more on United's remarkable history as opposed to their last three seasons under David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal.
"One perspective is the past three years, I think I prefer to forget the past three years and focus on the giant club that I have on my hands now", he says.
Take a look.
