Manchester United’s starting XI will not feature Pogba or Martial due to injuries

That isn’t to say that Mourinho’s selection isn’t something to get very excited about.

In was announced earlier on Saturday that Pogba would not be participating in Man Utd’s clash against Liverpool, having suffered a gash to his thigh while training during the week.

Additionally, Mourniho confirmed that Anthony Martial was still out, having also missed the trip to Crystal Palace on Monday due to an unspecified injury.

Taking a look at the starting XI, with the inclusions of Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata starting alongside Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, there is clearly a very attack-heavy team hitting the pitch today.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s starting line-up will feature the holy forward trinity of Salah, Firmino and Mane, but captain Jordan Henderson will not be participating, having received a dead-leg during the team’s Champion League match during the week.

The action kicks off at Old Trafford at 12.30pm.
