He won’t be happy with that.
The final whistle has just gone at Wembley Stadium, with Tottenham Hotspur enjoying a comfortable 2-0 victory over Premier League rivals Manchester United.
That’s not quite the story of the game, however, as Marouane Fellaini, often a figure of ridicule, was hauled off the field just seven-and-a-half minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.
United went 1-0 down after just 11 seconds when Christian Eriksen took advantage of a sleep-walking defence to sleep home.
Not long after, Phil Jones rifled home a beautiful finish into his own net, leaving United with all to play for in the second half.
With things not going according to plan and no comeback in sight, Mourinho opted to swap out Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard for Juan Mata and Fellaini.
A handful of minutes later, the Belgian’s night was over, as a furious-looking Mourinho hauled him off, sending Ander Herrera on in his place.
Predictably enough, social media lit up with laughter and bemusement…
7:29 – Marouane Fellaini spent seven minutes & 29 seconds on the pitch after coming on as a sub, before being subbed off again. Fleeting.

Jose Mourinho just brought on Fellaini then took him off five minutes later. Humiliating his own players because he's not half the manager he thinks he is. Can't imagine United fans will keep patience with him much longer.

Wait, hang on, was the Fellaini thing Mourinho deflecting attention from Man Utd's terrible display?

For what it’s worth, the official Man United Twitter account moved to downplay the embarrassment, suggesting Fellaini was struggling with an injury.
70' – A third and final change for #MUFC: @Fellaini is withdrawn, with @AnderHerrera replacing him. The Belgian appears to have picked up an injury. #TOTMUN

Should make for a typically fiery post-match interview, anyway…
