Some news faces…
There’s one very welcome face in Ireland’s squad to face Turkey, and that is Everton right-back Seamus Coleman who’s named in an Irish squad for the first time since he suffered a horrific broken leg in a clash against Wales last year.
The new faces in the squad are goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara from Man United, West Ham’s Declan Rice, Sheffield United’s Enda Stevens and Blackburn Rovers duo Darragh Lenihan and Derrick Williams.
Rice’s inclusion in particular is an exciting prospect. He’s represented Ireland at underage level and England manager Gareth Southgate has said he’s been keeping tabs on the promising 19-year-old.
