A stunning end to the game at Headquarters.

Mayo are through to the semi-finals of the All-Ireland football championship after recording slender one point victory over Cork.

Mayo won 1-19 to 2-15 and will now face Kerry, who beat Galway earlier today.

Goals from Donncha O’Connor and Brian Hurley gave the Rebels renewed hope of snatching an unlikely win, but a free from the sensational Cillian O’Connor and a goal from Aidan O’Shea left Cork needing a miracle.

One piece of skill from O’Connor was particularly audacious, killing a Garryowen stone dead before passing it off for one of his team-mates to score.

Mayo will take on Kerry in the first of the All-Ireland semi-finals on August 24th.
