Nigel Owens has been confirmed as the man who will be in charge of laying down the law to Leinster and Ulster in the Heineken Cup final.
Welsh official Owens is regarded as one of the best refs in the game, something he would no doubt tell you himself. Perhaps without the “one of” and a subtle de-pluralising of the word “refs”.
Owens has no problem with an unorthodox solution to problems, as evidenced during the recent RaboDirect PRO 12 game between Munster and Glasgow.
And he certainly doesn’t make a habit of taking crap from any of Leinster’s big names, either:
