It’s looking like a move to France for next season.

Paddy Jackson is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal with French side Perpignan in the Top 14 for next season.

French media have been reporting that Perpignan are keen on the deal, having cooled their recent interest in South African fly-half Elton Jantjies.

Jackson is seen as a better option by the club as he will not be required during international windows.

Talks between Jackson and the Catalan club are at an advanced stage as Perpignan try to boost their roster ahead of their first season back in the Top 14 following a spell in the D2.

Jackson had his contract revoked by Ulster in April following an internal review after he and Stuart Olding were acquitted of rape charges in a Belfast court in March.

The former Ulster fly-half has been linked with a host of clubs including Clermont, Sale Sharks and Waikato in recent weeks.

It was recently announced that Olding has signed for Brive for next season in the French second division.
