Pic: A GAA club in Sligo have advertised their physio position in very saucy fashion (Slightly NSFW)

We think the lads in Coolera/Strandhill would be pretty happy if the ‘standout applicant’ for the physio position ends up getting the job on a permanent basis.

It has to be done and no team would function properly without them, but plenty of GAA players wouldn’t exactly relish a trip to the physio to help keep them in shape during the summer months.

At GAA grounds across the country, fingernail marks can be seen etched on the walls after patients have had the sweet spot in the middle of their hamstring treated rather vigorously in the days leading up to a Championship game, while being told that two minutes in an ice bath as cold as the Arctic Circle is required isn’t exactly music to the ears either.

That said, we reckon the waiting room for the physio at Coolera/Strandhill GAA Club in Sligo will get pretty busy if the ‘standout applicant’ for the position currently being advertised by the club ends up getting the gig…

Expect a sudden surge in groin injuries amongst the Coolera/Strandhill players in the coming months.

Hat-tip to Adrian McPartland, Keelan Cawley and Shane Rynn for sending this one our way
