The Dutch defender was stretchered off the field during his side’s 3-2 victory over Australia earlier today after a fairly innocuous-looking collision with Australian goalscorer Tim Cahill just before half-time.

It seemed to be the way Martins Indi landed, as opposed to his collision with Cahill, that caused the injury but a frightening image of the defender emerged immediately afterwards in which he appeared to be out cold.
There have been no updates on the condition of Martins Indi since his injury but with Holland having qualified for the quarter-finals following victory over the Socceroos, here’s hoping he’s able to play some part before their participation in the tournament comes to an end.
