Cathal Pendred returns to the UFC octagon in Stockholm this weekend when he takes on Russian fighter Gasan Umalatov in the welterweight division.
Pendred picked up a brilliant win over Mike King at UFC Dublin in July and will be looking to build on that momentum on Saturday night.
The Irish fans made their presence felt in Las Vegas for Conor McGregor’s fight with Dustin Poirier and they’re out in force again in the Swedish capital supporting Pendred and SBG teammate Gunnar Nelson.
The UFC United Kingdom are up in Stockholm covering the fight and they tweeted a picture this bunch of Irish fans and their brilliant flag today.
McGregor is joined by Steve Collins, Bernard Dunne, Darren Sutherland, John Joe Nevin, Katie Taylor, Michael Carruth, Wayne McCullough and Barry McGuigan. It’s surely only a matter of time before Pendred is on there.
