He has a point.
Jamie Carragher isn’t shy when it comes to expressing his opinion on Twitter and long may this continue.
In recent weeks, the ‘Pool have been linked with a big money move for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke but it seems that the Belgian marksman won’t come cheap.
Benteke had a poor match at Wembley yesterday with some people on Twitter beginning to question whether he’s worth the reported £32.5m fee.
Carragher had his say on the issue after Tony Barrett of The Times questioned the price-tag.
The Sky Sports pundit couldn’t help himself though as he also saw a golden opportunity to have a funny pop at some of the players that didn’t quite live up to their price tag during their time at Anfield.
The Liverpool legend didn’t stop there because he also had a sly dig at the rumours that Raheem Sterling might join Arsenal in a swap deal for Theo Walcott, who opened the scoring today. Good man Carra’.
That’s the swap deal with Sterling out of the window!
