Never put yourself between a Mayo man and his county…
In case you haven’t heard, Mayo are taking on Dublin in the All-Ireland Football Final on Sunday in what is an eagerly anticipated game for both sets of fans and indeed neutrals as well.
It would take the coldest of hearts to begrudge a Mayo win after the years of disappointment at the final hurdle but we can safely assume that being charitable towards Mayo will be the furthest thing from Dublin’s mind.
James Rowland from Lahardane, Mayo is living over in London but is a passionate GAA fan and will be making his way back to Ireland for tomorrow’s game.
Last night, he was the Oxford Arms in Camden, discussing tactics for the match on Sunday when he received a text from his girlfriend Deborah. She was posing him a difficult question.
But there was only ever going to be one answer… or is he sitting on the fence?
