It’s great when the people behind these bravado bets end up with egg on their faces, but trust us, that is not going to happen this time around.
There is more chance of pigs flying/JOE marrying Jennifer Lawrence/Manchester United winning the league/insert unlikely bet here than of West Ham overturning a 6-0 deficit to advance to the Capital One Cup final at Manchester City’s expense, so one bookie in the UK has decided to have a bit of fun with their offers for this evening’s clash at the Boleyn Ground.
You can get odds of around 500/1 on West Ham winning by the seven goal margin required to progress, and so confident are a certain Coral outlet that it won’t happen (as is everyone else) that they have offered the following special ahead of kick-off.
Like any bet, it has the potential to blow up in this particular bookie’s face but it won’t in this case because a) we highly doubt that anyone was foolish enough to make the particular bet and b) it’s just not going to happen, sorry any Hammers fans out there.
