Southampton’s Jose Fonte shows off the leg injury he suffered against Hull City the other night. It’s not pretty.
We’ve all had the bumps, bruises and grazes that playing football gives us, but not many of us walk off a pitch with an injury that looks like the aftermath of a shark attack. Jose Fonte took to Instagram to post this rather gruesome looking picture of his leg wound. It wasn’t all bad news though as Fonte scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win for the Saints
He captioned the pic with the line, ”Fair to say, I need some proper shin pads”. Yes Jose, you do. Judging by the size of the injury, you’d be wise to invest in a pair of those cricket pads.
