Never a dull campaign

Never a dull campaign.

The football and rugby seasons may be over but that hasn’t stopped the marketing people at Paddy Power from indulging in their usual brand of marketing mischief.

We all know that the United Kingdom has reached out into all corners of the world and it’s very familiar to see athletes from a variety of different cultural backgrounds representing England and the U.K in different sports.

Every football country does the same also with the grandmother rule, just look at the current Irish team or the so called ‘golden generation’ that played under Jack Charlton.

The bookmaker rarely misses an opportunity to get their name out into the public domain and their latest stunt that took place in Dover, the location that faces France across the English Channel, is certain to get people talking because it pokes fun at some famous athletes that hail from different countries but have had success for England or the U.K.

Raheem Sterling, Manu Tuilagi, Mo Farah, Dubliner Eoin Morgan and Andy ‘Scottish when he loses but British when he wins’ Murray all feature.
