Padraig Harrington’s 17th tweet in more than two years on Twitter turned out to be a pretty good one.
The three-time major winner is more accustomed to being involved at the Ryder Cup as a player but he’s signed up to be one of Paul McGinley’s vice captains at this year’s event in Gleneagles and he showed last night that he’s enthusiastically taking to every task involved in his new role.
What a vice captain really does at a Ryder Cup. pic.twitter.com/3j8ydoIFVa

Knowing Padraig’s reputation for attention to detail, the coffee he’s handing to Thomas Bjorn was probably his 23rd attempt and he no doubt tried 15 different methods of adding sugar before settling on the right one, but at least it shows that the European team are having a bit of fun before the serious business starts at Gleneagles tomorrow.
You really should try this tweeting lark more often Padraig.
