All it was missing was Nicky English or Lar Corbett and the rock of Cashel in the background.
Granted, it was only a friendly, but the quality of the performance by a second string side and some of the goals scored meant that spirits were high in the aftermath of Ireland’s 4-1 win over the USA last night.
Substitute Shane Long was incredibly unlucky not to get on the scoresheet when he hit the post with a superb effort after a scintillating Gareth Bale-like run down the touchline in the second half, but he didn’t let that get him down when he ran into two fellow famous Tipp men after the match.
Topped off a good night tonight by meeting these 2! @AlanQuinlan1 #uptipp #Iwontsaysiimfine 😄👌👌😄 pic.twitter.com/IYNvIpjr1m
