Podge Collins looked distraught after receiving his marching orders during the qualifier against Wexford.

The young corner forward was sent to the sidelines at the end of the first half for pulling at the face mask of Wexford’s David Redmond.

As he sat in the dug-out, All-Ireland matchwinner Shane O’Donnell did his best to sympathise with his team-mate.

In an incredible clash at Cusack Park, Wexford led for the majority of the game but a last-minute goal from Seadna Morey brought the game into extra-time.

Even after the extra period, the teams could not be separated and the match finished level at 2-25 apiece.

Wexford performed heroics throughout the game but Clare’s tenacity saw them fight back to secure a replay.
