Pic: Sky Sports is unsure how to describe Robbie Henshaw’s GAA upbringing

They're no Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh

They’re no Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh.

Irish people naturally take great pride in our national sport which is why we’re curious to see how Gaelic football and hurling are viewed and understood by foreign countries.

We all got a good kick out of seeing how English people reacted to the influx of GAA on their screens over the summer and we’re all in favour of spreading the GAA gospel to foreign shores.

Just like his international teammate Rob Kearney, one of the reasons put forward as to why Robbie Henshaw is so good under the high-ball is his GAA upbringing playing for Garrycastle, Athlone and the Westmeath minors.

Alex Goode will agree on that one.

While the English public are quickly becoming more knowledgeable on all things GAA we still couldn’t help but laugh at this description of Henshaw’s GAA playing days.
