We suspect somebody got a stern talking to this morning.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we know only too well how easy it is to make mistakes when working in the online media industry and we’re not about to go throwing stones from inside our glass house anytime soon.

Every now and then, however, a simple typo can have more far-reaching consequences, as was the case in a round-up of the League Cup results on Sky Sports last night.

As you can see in the now updated match report, Notts County managed to defeat Huddersfield Town despite the sending off of Gill Swerts, who was given a rather more explicit name in the original match report, which didn’t escape the attention of some of our eagle-eyed readers.
