As many people have rather ambitiously pointed out, it will be just like watching Brazil…
After something of a turbulent year in 2013 when Donegal surrendered their Ulster and All-Ireland titles and suffered relegation to the second tier in the National League, they’ll be looking for a fresh start under Jim McGuinness and his revamped backroom team next season.
If they’re starting fresh, they might as well look fresh as well and the new jerseys the Tír Chonaill men will be debuting in the McKenna Cup next weekend is a good start.
Made by O’Neill’s rather than previous kit manufacturer Azzurri, the new design is a lot less complicated than the Donegal’s jerseys of recent seasons with the round collar and thin stripe down the arms, prompting comparisons with a famous football team that wear the same green and gold colours… Norwich City Brazil.

The tweet sent out by the official Donegal GAA account is only a template and we won’t have a true idea of what it will look like until we see McGuinness’ men in action against Tyrone in Letterkenny on Sunday but at first glance at least, it doesn’t look too shabby, not too shabby at all.
So what’s the initial verdict Donegal fans, yay or nay?
