The great thing about sports photography is that it often catches our sporting heroes in the most unconventional light; it’s safe to say, for example, that Phil Jones doesn’t go around making those unconventional facial expressions off the pitch.

Morgan Treacy of Inpho captured a more elegant image during St. Vincent’s victory over Rhode in the Leinster Club Final in Tullamore yesterday afternoon, when Rhode’s Alan McNamee and Vincent’s Daithi Murphy appeared to be engaged in a synchronised ballet routine when battling for the ball.

If we were to play the judge, the positioning of Alan’s left leg leaves a lot to be desired, but he makes up for it by showing off his jazz hands with those outstretched arms.

In the end, Daithi had the last laugh as Vincent’s ended up capturing their second Leinster club title on the trot.

With a bit of time between now and the All-Ireland semi-final, he seems the perfect man to take centre stage if the Marino club ever decide to host a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser that are popular amongst GAA clubs throughout the country these days.
