That’s some serious dedication from his mates.
Say hello to Ronan, Eunan, Paul, Aodhgan, and last but certainly not least Barry McGovern.
These five Fermanagh fellas were booked to go to France for the Euros, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Baz couldn’t make it.
He spent the guts of £600, including a ticket for the Sweden match tonight, and then had to pull out at the very last minute.
Undeterred, the lads thought they’d put him on a flag so he’d be here in spirit, a nice gesture, but it wasn’t enough.
Upon further consideration, they thought a specially-made cardboard cutout of Baz would be way more personal.
Fair play to big baz for surprising us at the docks !! 🇮🇪🚐🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/Dpvv6lvnK0

Bas does everything with them, he goes to the pub, sits out in the sun with them, and most importantly he cheers on the boys in green with them (in spirit).
They want people to say hello to Baz, celebrate with Baz, live life to the full with Baz if they spot them out and about in Paris.

Unfortunately, the four fine fellas think that Baz’s life will be short and sweet, and they’ll be very surprised if he makes it all the way to Bordeaux. The Euros is a dangerous place if you’re a cardboard cutout.
Oh we almost forgot, the Baz cardboard cutout also thinks that Ireland are going to win 1-0.
Peace out from Baz.

Thanks to Ronan, Eunan, Paul, Aodhgan and the lads in Dugout Bar in Blacklion for all the info. We sincerely hope that Baz survives Paris and is around to see us whip Belgium on Saturday.
