GAA injury

This is grim…

Aghaloo took on Cookstown in an intermediate league game in Tyrone over the weekend and aside from a famous win for Cookstown, there was plenty of drama in the game.

In unrelated incidents, two players from the game ended up in hospital.

Ruairi Mc Glone clashed heads with an opponent during the game and needed a trip to hospital to get a few stitches in his forehead.

While sitting waiting for the doctor to put in his stitches, Ruairi noticed the doctor looking at his cut strangely.

The doctor then leaned forward with a tweezers and removed a tooth which had been lodged in the cut on his forehead.

Speaking to JOE, Ruairi informed us that his head is swelled and sore, and the whole thing had done his looks no favours, but there was no lasting damage.

The most painful part of the whole thing, his beloved Aghaloo lost the game.

“We ended up losing the game by a point after having a four point lead,” Ruairi said, “I was on the way to the hospital so didn’t get to see it.

“I left the tooth under the pillow but the tooth fairy musn’t leave you money if its not your tooth.”

Cheers to Niall MacAindreis for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
