PICS: A stretcher wasn’t going to stop this Laois hurler celebrating with his team

Alan Loughnane

What a picture…

Slieve Bloom won the Laois Intermediate Hurling Final in a hard fought contest against Camross on Saturday evening.

According to Laois Today, the game seemed to be in the hands of Camross before a late rally from Slieve Bloom was enough to overturn a three point deficit and earn them the victory.

Slieve Bloom managed to defeat Camross on a scoreline of 3-11 to 1-12.

One player who put in a huge shift was John Paul Campion, who left the field on stretcher following his tremendous efforts.

But he wasn’t going to let that affect his celebrations of Slieve Bloom’s big day…

We imagine this was just the start of a long night of celebrations.
