The great man is in Dublin ahead of tomorrow’s big game at the Aviva.

Joost van der Westhuizen is one of the true greats of South African rugby, the scrum half played for his country 89 times over the course of a decade and is one of the most respected players of his generation.

Van der Westhuizen is suffering from Motor Neurons Disease and is in Ireland this week raising awareness for the disease through his J9 Foundation.

The great man was a guest of the Irish team for lunch this afternoon as the whole squad turned out in a mark of respect and support for legendary player. Here are some pictures from today and the warmth of affection from the Irish lads is really evident.
