The BBC news website this morning made that age old classic mistake of confusing India for Ireland.
In a huge faux pas, they had an image of the Irish Olympic team being led by Katie Taylor carrying the flag in a news article titled ‘India returns to the Olympic fold’
I mean who amongst you has not tried to order an Indian takeaway only to accidently order an Irish? It’s happened to us all and if I had a penny for every time I turned up in Delhi for the St Patrick’s Day parade only to find out it was in Dublin, I’d be fit to be sectioned.
