TWEETS: Piers Morgan and Gary Lineker are having some back and forth after the Champions League draw

Paul Moore

Should be an interesting campaign in Europe.

Leicester City fans must be feeling pretty delighted with themselves after the Foxes drew Porto, Club Brugge and FC Copenhagen in the Champions League group stages. While Claudio Ranieri’s side are something of an unknown quantity in Europe,we all know what to expect from Arsenal.

Beautiful free-flowing football, some cracking goals and the routine second-placed finish in the group before their inevitable elimination at the hands of Bayern Munich or Barcelona in the knock-out stages. Seriously, you can almost set your watch to it.

The Gunners should be getting out of their group though because it contains PSG, Basel and Ludogorets but as we all know, anythign can happen with Arsenal. This being said, Piers Morgan is so confident of qualification that he made a wager with his long-term frenemy Gary Lineker.

The Match of the Day host was quick to respond in kind. After all, we now know that he’s not someone that shies away from following through on the terms of a bet.

Those jocks must be filthy at this stage but Piers had the final word…for now.

All things being said, Lineker is so pleased with Leicester’s chances in Europe that he might even run around in his underpants without the excuse of a bet. We think!

The Champions League should be fun!
