Premier League Scorecast: A draw on the cards for Chelsea v Manchester United

Can United conquer Chelsea?

JOE

Chelsea go into this game knowing a win will all but win them the title.

José Mourinho has never been a manager who ignores practicality though. He’ll know the most important thing about this game is they don’t lose, as that will give the chasing pack a glimmer of belief.

So we suspect the Portuguese manger will set out a defensive looking side with Loic Remy leading the line on his own.

United on the other hand, know their faint hopes of another Premier League crown depend on a win here. So we fully expect their side to be packed with attacking talent.

Their problems aren’t in going forward though. At the back they are missing Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.

We don’t envisage Chelsea throwing the kitchen sink at United’s make-shift defence, but players such as Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas usually find a way through no matter what the system they’re playing in.

That’s why we’re backing the latter to get the opener in a frustrating 1-1 draw.

Cesc Fabregas to score 1st in a 1-1 draw is priced at 60/1.
