Premier League Scorecast: A tough day for the red side of Manchester

JOE predicts an excellent game when the two Manchester sides meet...

JOE

Manchester United’s attack has improved dramatically since Louis van Gaal took over the reins but JOE reckons their poor defensive play will cost them against a wounded Manchester City.

City have had a very poor week, losing to both West Ham and Newcastle. They will fancy their chances at getting back on track when United visit on Sunday.

City have won five of their last six league meetings against the Red Devils. That doesn’t make good reading for United’s fans and neither does the fact that victory would see City record four successive league wins against United for the first time since 1970.

Defensive woes haven’t been confined to the red part of Manchester this season though. City have only kept only two clean sheets in the league since the campaign started.

We fancy the scoreline of 2-1 with Edin Dzeko getting the first for City. This scorecast pays at 33/1.

Dzeko’s power will come in handy against a United side who have conceded six league goals from set pieces this season. Only Crystal Palace have conceded more.
