Premier League Scorecast: Arsenal v Chelsea

Who'll win this battle of London

JOE

Champions elect, Chelsea, will win the Premier League through grit and intelligence, rather than flair.

Nonetheless, few would argue that they are worthy winners. They may not be pretty on the eyes, but they sure are functional.

Arsenal host the Blues today with the aim of doing something they haven’t done in any of their last four games against Chelsea: score a goal.

Arsene Wenger’s side scraped through the FA Cup final last weekend and would fancy their chances of picking up that trophy for the second season running. However, their dream of another Premier League is long dead.

The Gunners have made huge strides this year, but they are still in the beta stage, while Mourinho’s Chelsea are the finished product.

The fact only one side (Sunderland) have stopped Chelsea from scoring this season is further testament to this. The Blues can grind out a result, no matter who they play.

Arsenal have won their last nine league games, but our money is on a draw in this one. Mourinho knows how to neuter attacking sides and we expect his Chelsea team to largely keep the home side at bay.

Our bet is a 1-1 draw with former Arsenal target Loic Remy to get the first goal. This is priced at 33/1.
