Premier League scorecast: Leicester aim to outfox Newcastle

A relegation six pointer

JOE

The Magpies versus the Foxes.

No, this is not a David Attenborough documentary, nor is it a tired attempt at an Alien Vs Predator style movie, which we would DEFINITELY watch.

This is a relegation six-pointer which takes place at the King Power Stadium, or Filbert Street as us non corporate folk call it. (Scorecast brought to you by Ladbrokes).

Leicester go into this game on the back of three wins from four, but it’s not their performances making the headlines.

Manager, Nigel Pearson, insistence on comparing journalists to large birds has taken the spotlight off their players and onto their press conferences.

Newcastle only wish they could stick their heads in the sand. Recent results have dragged them into a relegation battle which once seemed as distant as the Serengeti.

Mike Ashley has been accused of turning Newcastle into a carcass of a club, so this might be the perfect time for Leicester and their band of not-so-merry men to face them.

We fancy a fairly big win for the home side. They’ve been playing well lately and were unlucky to lose to champions elect, Chelsea, on Wednesday.

Newcastle on the other hand, have been atrocious in recent weeks. Poor John Carver hasn’t been able to motivate his players and the Magpies have had their wings clipped.

We’re backing Jamie Vardy to score 1st in a 2-0 win for Leicester, because yes, we really do think Newcastle are that bad.

This is priced at 35/1.
