Strangely enough, Newcastle have won their last two home games against Chelsea.
However, you’d probably be considered crazy if you suggested the Magpies will cruise to victory this weekend.
Chelsea have been steamrolling almost every team they’ve played in recent weeks and are unbeaten in their last 23 games in all competitions.
Don’t get us wrong, Newcastle won’t just lay down for the slaughter.
Alan Pardew’s side have been on the up lately and have gone the last five home matches unbeaten. They’ve also looked quite solid at the back, only conceding three goals in their last seven league games.
So we don’t reckon it will be easy for the Blues, but we do think they’ll come out on top. Jose Mourinho’s side have been an absolute machine this year and have been winning even when they’ve played poorly.
We reckon Newcastle will get the first. After all, Chelsea have only one clean sheet in seven away league games. Ayoze Pérez has been excellent this year for the Magpies, so we expect him to get the opener.
But Chelsea have gained nine points from losing positions so far this season and we fancy them to come back and score two goals.
